#gamestudies #gameresearch #gamedesign

@solderandchaos@mastodon.me.uk Hey! I'm doing my #PhD on #GameResearch.
We are still figuring out exactly what my work will be but it will be focused on exploring the design of #CooperativeGames. Right now we're trying to come up with a framework that conceptualizes the structure and patterns found in cooperative games. We hope it will inform designers and researchers in the future.
I'm still working on my first contribution as first author, but I'm very proud to have collaborated on a best paper on #CHI: https://dl.acm.org/doi/abs/10.1145/3544548.3580702 . This paper is focused on the experiences of blind players, so it is more on the topic of #Accessibility.
I'm actually looking for folks to follow in these areas as well :)
If you are an author | editor in the field of digital #gamestudies | digital #gameresearch | digital #gamedesign studies and want to talk about your latest publication, please don't hesitate to contact me!
>> I am constantly looking for #podcast #interview partners for the New Books Network.
I've been putting off writing this #introduction for some time, but here goes. Hi! I'm Pedro Pais, a #PhD student at the #TechAndPeople lab group working in the area of #InclusiveGames and #Accessibility, specifically focused on how to leverage Asymmetry to design games that can be catered to different individual's specific preferences.
Below I will be sharing some examples of the work I have been doing and collaborating in.
#GameDesign people and #gamers, genuine question: what makes games fun to play for you? Not just videogames, any games! Please retweet!
