So, not only is the Labour Govt's position on migrants full of immorality & injustice it now also will be retrospectively applied (in a direct violation of the norms of the Rule of Law), as the doubling of the period of residence before being able to apply for citizenship to ten years will be applied to all migrants who have arrived since 2020.

Although convention is that the Home Office *can* act retrospectively, this really is a disgraceful bit of politicking!

I cannot imagine what it must be like to spend 38 years in prison for a crime you didn't commit but Peter Sullivan has lived that hell.

This is both an injustice to him and to the relatives of the victim, Diane Sindall whose murderer (if still alive) remains unpunished.

The Appeals system that twice rejected Sullivan's appeal now needs to be reformed if we are to ensure such injustices don't continue.
