Le 44 est bien plus dense en nœud que le 45 ! Les relais fonctionnent bien.

Gestern #Meshcom Test gemacht in der Stadt unterhalb der Dächer 2. Etage Fenster und Terrasse 840 Meter entfernt mit T-Beam und T-Deck mit AB-IOT-433 ca. 1,5 Watt. SRN -10 bis -11 RSSI zwischen -102 und -116.

#Meshtastic 868 mit 0,5 Watt machte SRN -13,25 RSSI -132.

Mit #Meshtastic #meshcore und #Reticulum verhält es sich wie damals mit #VHS #betamax und #video2000 . Letzteres wurde uns von Industrie Konsortien vorgegeben. Ich finde es traurig, dass bei freien Projekten Leute nicht mehr zusammen finden und an einem Strang ziehen können. Hier wo ich wohne, gibt es von diesen drei Mesh Messengern keinerlei Nutzung. Und die Leute hier sind überfordert, dass es von allem zu viele Varianten gibt. Betrifft auch das Fediverse und Linux. Daher wird es nicht kommen.

Neues #meshtastic Spielzeug. Ein Sensecap T1000-e. Aber wirklich überzeugt bin ich davon nicht, die Reichweite scheint sehr eingeschränkt zu sein oder ich hab ein kaputtes Gerät erhalten.

Hab schon Probleme von der anderen Seite der Wohnung den Balkon zu erreichen. Draußen ist es deutlich besser aber mal sehen.

I expect we'll start to see Spain and Portugal increase their #Meshtastic node density, post the blackouts. For two reasonably populous European nations, they have quite a low density at present.

Their neighbours to the north are already better prepared for comms in a blackout, assuming many or most of the publicly visible nodes are on battery and/or on solar.

Indeed there may be socio-economic elements at play here too that contribute to the density differences.

Any info on #meshtastic use during the blackout in Spain/Portugal? Or was 5G always working well enough that it wasn't necessary?

Anyone got a #meshtastic all in one device they’d recommend? Thinking about getting a LilyGo T-Deck Plus, but I would love it if there was an even more cheap and cheerful option.

I would be open to DIY’ing, but it honestly doesn’t even seem that much cheaper (would love to be wrong about this?)

I like meshtastic, but using it through my phone feels inelegant for some purposes.

Jest miejsce do spania, choć nie cały budynek wykończony. Łóżko spokojnie zmieści dwie osoby. Nakarmimy – vege lub nie. Dowiozę z PKP/busa, pokryję koszt podróży, wynegocjujemy wynagrodzenie. Maksimum 4 h działań na dobę, reszta wolne – można iść na łąki łapać kleszcze. Trzeba być odpornym na wrzaski żurawi. I ujadanie przyjaznych ale dzikich piesków.

Back in #Berlin after 2.5 weeks and it feels like the #Meshtastic density has almost doubled.

After arriving via train the meshtastic-client is constantly ringing because new nodes are being found.
