For #SilentSunday I am going for some solemn #ClassicalMusic today.

I am unsure whether to call 'Fauna' either an EP or an album with only 6 tracks, which is right on the boundary between those two media. But it is the debut of the #3VIOLAS group on #bandcamp at least.

This #instrumental group's name describes exactly what it says on the tin, a trio of excellent viola players playing wonderful #classical #cinematic music, embracing #minimalism as their overall sound. 🎻

今日はゲンナジー・ロジェストヴェンスキーの誕生日。1931年生まれ。

1970年代に読響と共演する様になった頃の写真を見た時には生真面目な人の様な印象を持っていたんだけど、後年のショスタコーヴィチの「モスクワ、チェリョムーシキ」の録音で彼自身がピアノを弾きながら声で出演しているのを聴いた時に、実は結構ユーモアのあるオジサンなんだと気付いたw。一度だけ実演に接する機会があったけど、その時もアンコールでお茶目な一面を見せたっけ。

プロコフィエフの交響曲全集の出来が良いんだけど、音質が良くなくて、再録して欲しいと思っていたんだけど、やがて録音に携わらなくなってしまったのが惜しかった。ライブの録音がもっと発掘されると良いんだけど。

music is for me also about quality,
I need no feedback in concerts, no unintended noise, in recordings no scratches or what ever does not belong there

for that reason, I've never understood the appeal to listen to historical classical recordings, audible spectrum is so limited missing lower frequencies not to mention higher ones, only surviving seam to be from 440 to 900 or so

I don't care how prominent the musician has been, I do not like it, it hurts #classicalMusic

Recientemente he dado un salto cualitativo para las grabaciones de mis #ClarinetAdventures :clarinete:

Me he agenciado un micrófono y una interfaz de audio decente para grabar. Y hoy he hecho una prueba a dos voces (sí, en estéreo, poneos auriculares para una experiencia extrasensorial!! 😎) y la verdad es que la ganancia de calidad es brutal con respecto a mis anteriores grabaciones.

Espero que la disfrutéis a pesar de ser más una prueba que otra cosa 😇
